Configuration
Overview
SPS is controlled by a single configuration file, typically "sps/conf/config.dat". This file specifies all aspects of the installation, including:
- Which tables and fields are part of the SPS installation;
- Which directories can be managed from within SPS;
- Which templates and database queries are used to generate the site;
- How the site should be published

The CacheConfig utility offers the ability to cache configuration files, resulting in a dramatic performance improvement on sites with complex configurations. It is also documented in the FAQ section
